Jane Everett

Senior Associate Trainer

In 20 years of training intercultural communication skills I’ve learnt that it takes passion, curiosity, energy and enthusiasm. It also takes knowledge and competence. Knowledge of our participants, their business world and cultural context. And then the competence to help them bridge the gap between where they are now and where they want to be tomorrow.
With Canning since 2000.
As Senior Associate Trainer Jane specialises in designing and delivering training and coaching on presentation skills, negotiation skills, business writing skills and cross-cultural awareness.  This has given her the opportunity to work with clients in a wide range of sectors in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK.
Prior to joining Canning, she worked in a variety of different roles – from teaching and translating to event organisation, promotion and market research – for financial and consultancy organisations in Russia and the UK.
As a coach, Jane works with senior managers, supporting them especially in the context of organisational change or new challenges that they have to face. This may be support in the areas of leadership, communication, preparation for relocation or managing multi-cultural remote teams.
Jane’s deep knowledge of Russia and its culture puts her in an ideal position to represent the Canning Community in Russia and the Ukraine, building and managing relations with clients in those countries and scouting for new business.
In addition to her work at Canning, Jane lectures on cross-cultural topics at LIUC Università Carlo Cattaneo and at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
